COCO LACHINE
Candidate for Queen Mother II of the Americas
More than four decades of leadership, service, advocacy, and commitment to the International Court System — with a vision to reconnect our Courts, strengthen our Council, and build an organization that serves every member of our community.
Experience. Leadership. Unity.
A Lifetime of Leadership. A Vision for What Comes Next.
For more than four decades, Coco LaChine has dedicated herself to leadership, service, advocacy, and the International Court System. Now, she is ready to bring that experience to the role of Queen Mother II of the Americas — reconnecting our Courts, strengthening our community, and building a Council that serves us all.
A Vision for Every Court
Leadership should bring us together. Coco’s vision is a stronger, more connected International Court System built on communication, collaboration, and service.
RECONNECT
Build stronger relationships between the Council and every Court through open communication, regular engagement, and mutual respect.
REBUILD
Restore trust and credibility by creating a Council that is transparent, responsive, inclusive, and focused on serving our Courts.
REIMAGINE
Create a stronger Council through working groups, shared resources, new voices, and meaningful opportunities for every Court to participate.
Turning Vision Into Action
Coco’s vision is rooted in action — creating a Council that listens, communicates, supports its Courts, and turns shared ideas into meaningful results.
LISTEN
Quarterly conversations with Court representatives to hear concerns, exchange ideas, and keep communication open.
ORGANIZE
Create focused working groups that bring members together around shared priorities, projects, and opportunities to serve.
SUPPORT
Provide Courts with shared resources, guidance, and practical assistance to strengthen their organizations and serve their communities.
A Council That Works for Everyone
Leadership is not about titles or hierarchy. It is about creating opportunities for people to contribute, bringing new voices into the conversation, and building a Council focused on service.
OPEN THE COUNCIL
Move beyond titles and hierarchy. Every Council member should have an opportunity to contribute based on their experience, interests, and ability to serve.
CREATE WORKING GROUPS
Create focused working groups that bring members together around shared priorities and initiatives, creating more opportunities for people throughout the International Court System to participate.
Every Voice Has a Place
A stronger Council creates meaningful opportunities for people to contribute their experience, ideas, and voices. Working groups can bring members together around shared interests while creating resources and initiatives that benefit Courts throughout the International Court System.
TRANS & NON-BINARY EMPOWERMENT
Create opportunities to elevate trans and non-binary voices, encourage leadership, share resources, and strengthen inclusion throughout the International Court System.
YOUTH & SENIOR ENGAGEMENT
Bring generations together by creating opportunities for mentorship, knowledge sharing, leadership development, and greater engagement among both newer and longtime members.
COURT RESOURCES & SUPPORT
Develop and share practical resources, successful practices, and tools that Courts can adapt to meet their individual needs and strengthen their organizations.
Working groups should evolve with the needs, ideas, and priorities of our Courts.
Leadership Through Service
Coco believes the Council should be a resource for our Courts — not an organization that tells them what to do. Its role should be to listen, connect people and ideas, share knowledge, and help every Court succeed in serving its members and communities.
The Council succeeds when our Courts succeed.
